Introduction to algorithms: their definition, design, coding, and execution on computers. Intended for students who have no programming experience. All or most assignment work will be completed during lab time.
Basically, it's an intro course for people who have never programmed before. If you have any sort of programming experience, it will be ridiculously easy as they will be covering if statements and while loops and for loops for a large portion of the course.

A Spring 2015 McLeod
If you get McLeod, he does a great job of explaining the stuff. Python is probably the easiest language to learn if you're looking for an easy first language. I've heard other profs can be pretty difficult though |
studentio - 2011-07-04 20:53:39 difficile! |
7cm47 - 2010-02-03 21:40:13 Having absolutely no programing experience this course is HARD and takes A LOT of work every week. The prof makes it much more complicated than I think it needs to be and the fact that it's a night class makes it that much worse. |
daproph - 2009-12-20 09:20:55 Easy to get a B in without going to any class if you have no programming experience but to get an A, you have to go class and requires a significant amount of work |
jr01 - 2009-12-20 06:57:09 Just know that it can be rather difficult if you have never done ANY programming, but its still mostly easy. |
