kyuubi12 - 2013-05-15 20:07:56 Don't know proofs? Get f*cked. |
nosmas - 2013-04-23 15:24:43 NOT EASY at all. The concept is very difficult to understand. Counting is a bit like statistics that you need to count, except it is harder. Graph is difficult since it's proof based, not much computational. Easy for those who like to prove and can visual graphs in their head |
kariina - 2011-08-26 10:28:10 First part of the course is actually pretty computational except for the proofs. However, if you understand the class examples you should be ok (perhaps mid-high 70s..). Graph theory is slightly easier as it's basically drawing graphs and applying formulas. Just make sure you know the proofs for the first half then you should do get at least ~75. (Which is actually good in this course). |
anon_red - 2011-05-02 00:12:02 Not too difficult, but not too easy either. First half of the course is pretty hard, but the graph theory stuff is ridiculously easy to pick up and understand. |
gimpy - 2010-12-03 16:04:43 Just had this course, Fall 2010, a Tricky math course split into two parts, Combinatorics and Graph theory 8 assignments 1 Midterm and 1 Final |
yt0805 - 2009-07-30 13:41:15 it actually depends on which prof you get.. for me..I took the course coz I thought it might be interesting and challenging..but I found it to be the opposite (it is interesting BUT actually pretty easy) my advise is..try your best and definitely seek help if needed then..you're pretty much set people I talked to think it's like CS: it's either you get it or you don't so... I still think most people would get the materials |
swishcheese - 2008-12-21 14:25:18 If you have a good prof this course isnt all that difficult. The middle of the course prior to the midterm is very algorithmic and the graph theory covered in the course isnt all too difficult. Many ppl think thins course will be hard going in and then come out saying that it wasnt really that hard. On the other hand , some of the proofs can be challenging but you can get a decent mark in the course without being able to do all of them. |
Anonymous - 2008-09-10 20:27:13 This is not an easy course. Almost everyone finds this course extremely hard and the material is very new and confusing. Whoever claimed this is a bird course is either a genius or just wants to mislead other students. |
skar88 - 2008-04-23 10:55:15 NOT an easy course! wtf.. interesting course but very new and hard to wrap your mind around |
Anonymous - 2007-08-29 23:30:39 I don't think this is a bird course, most students find it very hard. However it depends on your teacher also. |
Anonymous - 2007-06-10 23:25:12 one of the harder math courses, definately hardest in second year. Midterm average is around 54%. |
